SWEET SIXTEEN! :D

really REALLY good birthday today, ignoring whatever that happened in school: the marks, the screwed relationships and all that jazz. but it was, sorry, is GREAT.

went out to eat at er...this sushi place in great world, which was good cuz sushi makes the world go round. go so full i felt all woozy and stuff, but it was SUSHI :D saw this guy from my physics tuition class, which scared the hell out of me (of ALL the people to meet, i HAD to see him). not that it was unpleasant, just SO SUPER WEIRD. ok, that aside, we went to nydc and ate the BOOBOO cake. COOL MAN. it's like something from the toilet, only with cream. and my mom was like "ARE YOU SURE?!?" cuz the guy said that it was rich and all. but it was soo good, even when i was all bloated. but ah well, it was worth it :D

got a card and biscuits and PINK! slippers :D yup yup, really fruitful birthday, and i never felt so close and WOAH with my family on my brithday. but it was ALL SO SWEET, which is why i felt the sudden inexplicable urge to log it down in a journal i have not touched in god knows how long and friends lock it cuz well, i feel like i'm 5 and celebrating my first few birthdays.

oh well, it's great being 5.

seriously, eoys are UBER BAD reflections on the standards of our capabilities in subjects. yeah, i suppose hard work is supposed to get you everywhere, cuz there's that 99% hard work and 1% intelligence thingy, but how is that supposed to help you for languages? URGH. as elated as i am for my chinese, which is not exactly exceptional but nothing short of a miracle for me (yeah that's how bad it is), language arts was superbly disppointing. GOD it was sucky, as in i know i should just accept and LEARN but it's that moment when you just can't help feeling that you should have done better instead of regretting now and everything.

i suppose i deserve it, seeing as i put in much less effort compared to others, not that you should go around comparing how hard you worked compared to others, but yeah that's my guage, and started revision uber late (yes, preparing for the paper one day before the exam is DEFINITELY not the way to go) and just generally slacked off in corrections and stuff, which also means that i hardly learnt from my mistakes. then there's the pressure thingy and all. i seriously need to keep my writing to ONE HOUR max, cuz URGH i don't have three days to ponder and choose appropriate words and vett during an exam. not to mention that i have a tendency to go into long LONG essays for a ONE mark question for compre.

yeah but what's over is over, and i shouldn't be hanging on to stuff that can't be changed, but it's just so disappointing you know? i feel like i've totally let mrs s. down, and as much as my bro is kinda comforting over the fact that it's ok, there's still that nagging feelign that is GOD SO IRRITATING that i should TRIED HARDER. but ARGH, i should stop this.

on the other hand, I LOVE CHINESE. haha not really, but i'm pretty damn proud of it. but yeah, shan't gloat. feels weird. but yeah, CHEN CHI STOP SUANING MY CHINESE. it's not THAT bad yet. XP

haha i shouldn't be so hung over marks, but o yeah, that seems to be the only excitement in my life. o well, i need a life.

in desperate need of literary vomiting. funny how i only blog during the CRITICAL REVISION PERIOD, especially since my revision is NON EXISTENT and stupid people, ok not stupid, but you get the idea, are WAY ahead and fully prepared for eoys. URGH STUPID IRRITATING DAMN EOYS.

and i realised, ok, i did realise a while ago but it has finally FULLY dawned on me how screwed i am for eoys. which also means i shouldn't be blogging at this hour, or be blogging at all. for one, i SLEPT in class today. not those stone stone then drift off kinda thing, but the REAL OH GOD SO TIRED--SLEEP kinda sleep. TIS BE BAD. it's the stress i tell you.

haha compared to the last post, which was about 1500 words, i suppose this is superbly short.

maths is...ok i guess. hcj is a nice teacher, but sometimes the lessons are really really very xian cuz everyone is sleepy and tired and cannot really focus. feel like skipping maths training tmr, but if i do, then i'll just waste money.

308 is nice, though we are REALLY quiet during lessons, more so than 110 04, which is really freaky. haha and i am very proud that i know all the names of all the people in my class. :D haha and it is fun to make fun of pot's tennis skills.

council camp's in two days and I HAVE NOT PACKED. i feel so screwed and lazy right now. i slacked off the entire holidays doing absolutely nothing, if you dismiss the fact that i learnt to play pool but is such a small and insignificant thing, and for once, i feel so guilty about wasting so much time away. WOW. i am maturing. :D

and YAY!! since i feel so zi bei now, i should make a list of stuff i should do so as to salvage this holiday.

- commonwealth essay (if i was chenchi i would do about a hundred drafts before the final one but since i am not her, one would be fine.)
- pack room (it got messy again, unfortunately :()
- read at least one third of the books my brother threw at me
- clear random magazines lying in my room (this falls under packing, but since it is such a vital job i shall mention it twice)
- revise sec 2 and read sec 3 stuff (feasible idea, and i know lots of people are doing that, but i serioulsy doubt that i would strike of this thingy)
- train more (enough said)
- clear desktop of my personal stuff

I NEED BETTER TIMING. went to school on friday to return library books which were due and the library was CLOSE. I WAS ONLY TWO MINUTES LATE. two hours of my precious life is going to be gone due to the utter worthless and meaningless task of shelving books.

NEXT YEAR'S BOOKS ARE SO EXPENSIVE. i'm not buying everything and it already amounts to over a hundred bucks. bleh.

i'm in 308. next to the class that has 1/4 of 210'05. and i would most probably die there anyways since bsp(CHINESE) means talking about china whose people converse in mandarin. and my chinese sucks, no exaggeration there. i have no idea why i even opted for that.

WATOTO CHILDREN ROCKS!!

they are so inspiring, and to think that even without their biological parents, they can still smile more than probably majority of us here who are fortunate to possess a whole and complete family. i feel that though they are children, they are much stronger than all of us here, and are a more wholesome being. they are touring the world to raise funds for others, whilst we are mostly not grateful that we have an education and indulge in frivalous useless trinkets to fulfill our material desires, not thinking that with this extra cash, we can touch others' lives. this is not a reprimand, just a statement; it is a fact. we, though leading a perfect life, complain about everything: parents are too naggy, homework is too much, people criticising us too much. i guess we never realise that these are all affections that these children, living on this same planet as us, probably never expreienced until they joined the church. we do not treasure them, and want more.

i nearly cried when i watched the video. it was just so sad, seeing that they are children smaller than us who have to bear so much hardship. thank god for the church that was set up, but even with that assistance, there are still people out there who fall to aids and other diseases. these children too have ambitions like all of us; they want to be teachers, to bring light to others; pilots and the like. it was so heartbreaking to think that if they had not been found, these dreams might be impossible.

i maybe overly emotional or whatnot, but it was really that moving. and though i am a freethinker, i pray that God would look after them and all the rest of the people who suffer such cruel fates.

country, no pollution and slow-paced life with no stress. at least in my idealist view of a country life. but since the grass is always greener on the other side, i guess both are fine.

i don't like jeans. hot hot hot.

nope. the sharing of saliva and bacteria is currently not part and parcel of our daily life at this point of time.

nope. can't run to save my life.

swear as in cuss, yes. swear as in vow, nope. no use to tie a string around your neck at this stage in life.

nope.

yup. had to endure 'chopsitck lessons' from my mother cuz our aunt pointed out that we could not hodl the chopsticks in the 'proper' way.

yup, of course. so much fun.

yup. if i don't get good grades, then i cannot do what i want to do when i grow up, which is to become a doctor, which will make me regret because i know that i could have done better.

yup.

get a job, if allowed that is.

yup, for our own good.

i have suddenly and unknowingly found my great dislike for rain. TWO days we tried to play tennis and TWO days it rained on us. BLEH.

haha, just came back and dripping (ok, not really dripping, but still wet) wet. got bored and don;t really want to bathe. therefore, the result of this boredom is...
